Logan • Utah State will hold a 100-play scrimmage on Friday at Romney Stadium, beginning at 3:15 p.m.

The session is open to the public.

"Offensively, I want to see consistent play by the line and running backs, clean execution on the perimeter and solid play at quarterback," said head coach Matt Wells.

On defense, Well said, "We're looking for guys to solidify roles at cornerback and safety. We [also] want see some of the newcomers … make plays along the defensive line and at linebacker."

So far, Wells has been pleased by the Aggies' progress during spring practice.

"The attitude and coachability of this group has been great" he said.

During the scrimmage, both the No. 1 and No. 2 offenses will get the ball at its own 25- and 50-yard lines against the No. 1 and No. 2 defenses. Both groups will also do red zone work and two-minute drills.

The No. 3 offense and defense will get 16-18 plays of live action. Special teams will also get some attention.

Utah State's annual spring game will be held April 11, with one final practice scheduled in April 13.
