USU fans who loved seeing their Aggies beat BYU in Provo last year will be excited to hear the rivalry, which probably reached a new level of intensity after the Aggies' 35-20 win, has been extended through 2020.

The schools announced Thursday the teams will meet at Utah State on Oct. 4, 2019 and at BYU on Oct. 2, 2020, both Friday games.

Times and broadcast details will be announced at a later date.

The schools are also expected to meet in Logan in 2015 and 2017 and in Provo in 2016 and 2018.

All-time, BYU leads the series 46-35-3 with the Aggies going 18-16-2 in Logan and 17-27-1 in Provo. The Aggies are 0-3 at neutral sites.

Utah State's 2014 win against the Cougars, ranked No. 18 at the time, in Provo was the first victory at BYU in 37 years for the Aggies and marked the highest ranked opponent the Aggies have beaten since outlasting No. 19 La Tech 48-41 in overtime in 2012.

"We are excited to continue our home and home series with BYU long-term," Utah State athletic director Scott Barnes said. "This rivalry is important to both institutions and the state of Utah."
