Derrick Favors walked through the cramped visiting locker room on Wednesday night before the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons matched up at The Palace.
When asked how his knee was feeling, "good" was the response.
Utah's starting power forward has been out with a bone contusion in his left knee, matching the contusion he's battled in the other knee this season. But his spirits have been high.
He will be re-evaluated in a few days, although there is no word on when he may return. In his place to start a four game trip, Jazz coach Quin Snyder started Joe Johnson.
Boris Diaw got the nod Monday night in the win over the Los Angeles Clippers, and Snyder said he will continue to go by feel for as long as Favors is out. With the Pistons primarily going with a four out offense, featuring stretch forwards Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris, Johnson was the pick.
The Jazz are 42-25 heading into Wednesday night. The Pistons represent the first of a four-game trip through the midwest.
