“Get him outta here.”
When New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis barked out those instructions while shooting a commercial video, he thought he was trying to rid the set of a grumpy, meddling maintenance man.
But he was the one not in on the joke.
The “maintenance man” was actually Karl Malone — the 14-time All-Star and Hall of Famer with the Utah Jazz. And while Redbull, who shot the video, had to do various gimmicks with Malone somewhat obscured to conceal his 6-foot-10 height, Davis was clearly surprised (though afterward he put together some of the clues).
“Now it’s making sense,” he said. “Y’all knew about this.”
Davis, of course, is a five-time All-Star himself, and the two reportedly shared some words off camera at The Mailman’s request.
