Logan • Senior point guard Shane Rector scored 16 points Tuesday night, leading Utah State to an 84-51 victory over Great Falls at the Spectrum.

Norbert Janicek added 14 points and Jalen Moore contributed 13 as the Aggies snapped a four-game losing streak. They improved to 4-4 on the season.

Junior forward Tymarieh Dixon led the Argos, an NAIA team from the Frontier Conference, with 15 points.

Both teams struggled early. Utah State, in fact, managed only a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game. The Aggies finally got going, however, and used a 10-0 run to build a 20-8 advantage.

It was 42-21 at halftime, when seven Utah State players had scored at least four points.

The Aggies ran away from Great Falls early in the second half, when they made 11 straight field-goal attempts and rolled to a 65-29 lead with 12 1/2 minutes remaining.
