Southern Utah athletic director Ken Beazer announced he'll resign Thursday after nearly a decade in his post.

He'll continue in his current role while SUU conducts a national search for his replacement beginning on June 1st, according to a press release.

Beazer was appointed as athletic director in 2006, overseeing the Thunderbirds' entrance into the Big Sky Conference and the addition of women's golf and women's volleyball. He oversaw an athletic program that racked up 18 conference championships.
