Women's basketball • Freshman center Joeseta Fatuesi came up just one rebound shy of her second double-double of the season, but the University of Utah women's basketball team dropped its regular-season finale at Arizona, 64-41, on Sunday in the McKale Center.

Utah (9-20, 3-15 Pac-12) had two players reach double-figures in points as the Utes committed only seven turnovers on the day, while forcing 10 by the Wildcats.

Fatuesi scored a team-high 12 points after making six of 12 shots from the floor to go with another team-high mark, nine rebounds. The Santa Clara, Calif., native came up just one rebound shy of her second double-double of the season. She has recorded six double-digit games on the season and this was the third time she has led the Utes in scoring this season and the second time in the last three games.

Utah women top Penn St. for 2nd win

Women's tennis • In Barboursville, W.Va., the University of Utah women's tennis team (2-6) captured its second win of the season, topping Penn State (2-7) 4-2 at the Huntington Tennis Center.

UVU loses both in doubleheader

Baseball • In Albuquerque, N.M., Utah Valley University dropped a pair of games on Sunday to close out the Lobo Invite, falling 7-6 to San Francisco and 9-3 to host New Mexico.

In the weekend finale, the Wolverines (2-8) had an early three-run lead but New Mexico went ahead in the sixth and pulled away late. UVU got a three-run triple from Kade Andrus in the second inning but had just two hits the rest of the way.

Nicholls State 4, Utah 1 • In Thibodaux, La., the Utah baseball team closed out a four-game series at Nicholls State with a loss to the Colonels.

Nicholls State took a 2-0 lead in the second inning. Although Utah cut the lead to 2-1 with a run in the fourth, solo runs in the fifth and sixth inning lifted the Colonels to the 4-1 win.

Utah was led at the plate by AJ Young, who had two of Utah's five hits on the day, going 2-for-4.

WSU falls to Stanford

Women's softball • The Weber State University softball team dropped its final game of the weekend, falling 12-4 in five innings to Stanford to wrap up the Wildcats' participation in the Louisville Slugger Invitational in Lakewood, Calif.

UVU 7, SUU 4 • The Utah Valley University softball team managed to piece together a five-run fifth to overcome an early deficit and defeat in-state foe Southern Utah on Sunday at the Long Beach Louisville Slugger Invitational finale in Lakewood, Calif.
