NFL notes: Friend of 'Pacman' found dead in N.Y.

A principal in the infamous Las Vegas shooting involving Adam ''Pacman'' Jones has died under mysterious circumstances in the Bronx - and now authorities are trying to determine if she was murdered.

Sadia Morrison, a 26-year-old celebrity stylist, was found dead last Friday behind a building where she may have gone to visit a friend or boyfriend, police said.

At first, investigators thought she had jumped to her death, police sources said, but that now appears not to be the case. An autopsy was inconclusive, and the medical examiner is conducting further tests and conferring with detectives to determine if Morrison fell from an upper floor or the roof, or if she was the victim of foul play.

At the same time, detectives are trying to locate a man from the building whom she may have been dating.

There is no reason to believe her death is connected to the Las Vegas shooting, a high-ranking police official said.

Morrison was with Jones (now a cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys after a trade from the Tennessee Titans) during a February 2007 melee at Minxx, a Vegas strip club. Morrison was arrested for fighting with strippers inside the club and hitting a security guard with a champagne bottle.

A shooting outside the club moments later left a bouncer, Tommy Urbanski, paralyzed from the waist down.

Pack not on Taylor's list

The Green Bay Packers might have at least some interest in trading for Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, but the curiosity isn't mutual at the moment.

The Packers are not on the lengthy list of teams Taylor would like to join in a trade, according to multiple sources close to the situation. And it doesn't appear they'll be added anytime soon.

''I don't see it happening,'' a source close to Taylor said Friday.

None of the sources would give out the complete list, which has roughly 12 teams on it. San Diego, New England, Dallas, Jacksonville and Philadelphia are some of the teams Taylor is interested in.

The Packers return nearly the entire team that went 13-3 and lost in the NFC Championship Game last season, but the retirement of the one starter lost from that team - quarterback Brett Favre - makes the Packers far from a sure thing to Taylor.

Around the league

Bills: Running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to plead guilty next week to an unspecified charge stemming from a hit-and-run accident involving his SUV, Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark said. Clark declined to detail the charge but said a tentative plea agreement assumes Lynch was driving his 2008 Porsche Cayenne when it hit a woman crossing a Buffalo intersection early May 31, leaving the victim with a bruised hip and in need of stitches.

Vikings: Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie had his criminal case continued again Friday during a hearing in Miami-Dade County Court.

McKinnie, who faces four charges - including one felony - stemming from a brawl outside a Miami nightclub, has his next court date Sept. 24. McKinnie's attorney, asked the state of Florida to allow his client to enter a pre-trial diversion program that could lead to the charges being dismissed.
