Posted: 2:39 PM- C.J. Wilcox, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard/small forward from Pleasant Grove High, has committed to play college basketball for the University of Washington, several sources have confirmed.

The commitment comes as bad news for the University of Utah, which had been recruiting Wilcox heavily and was listed by Wilcox last week as one of two schools he was interested in attending.

Wilcox, who will be a senior this fall, led Class 5A in scoring last season with a 23.7 average and was a consensus first-team all-state selection. He averaged 15.3 points per game as a sophomore.

Friday, Wilcox's father, Craig, a former BYU basketball player, said his son would take the weekend to either decide on Utah or Washington or decide to re-open the decision-making process to include Miami and Florida State.

Before he narrowed his choices to the Utes and Huskies, C.J. Wilcox had offers from BYU, Iowa State, Nebraska, Utah State and San Diego.
