Posted: 12:40 PM- Former Brigham Young head men's volleyball coach Tom Peterson has been hired as an assistant women's coach at Utah State under Grayson DuBose.

Peterson, who served as USU's head coach from 1999-2000, replaces Shawn Olmstead, who recently resigned to take a similar position at BYU.

In 2006, Peterson, who led BYU to a national championship in 2004, was forced to resign and the NCAA eventually ruled in March that there were violations involving improper financial benefits and travel expenses given to players.

In his 10 years as a men's head coach at the Division I level, Peterson's teams appeared in seven NCAA Final Fours.
