Also, the Wilderness Circuit, led by the 11 Utahns who qualified for the finals, easily won the team standings with $98,344 in winnings, far more than second-place California ($59,570).
Davis was the leading money-winner in bareback riding, pocketing $16,597 in the four-day event. He tied for first in Saturday's semifinal round with an 86 atop Let's Play. But in the final round Davis was third with an 82, as Chris Harris of Itasca, Texas, won with an 87 on Street Dance.
In bull riding, Shepherd was the leading money-winner with $7,815. However, he was disappointed Saturday, failing to post a score in either the semifinal round or the final round.
Chad Ferley of Oelrichs, S.D., was the all-around cowboy champion.
In team roping, Jade Anderson of Goshen paired with Colby Siddoway of Argyle, Texas, to earn $10,006, most of any team. The pair was third in Saturday's semifinal round with a time of 7.0 seconds, and third in the final round with a 9.5-second performance.
Milford's Cody Wright was the second-leading money-winner in saddle bronc riding ($8,644) after placing third in the semifinal round with a 78-point ride. He got a no score in the final round.
Nancy Hunter, the emergency room nurse from Neola, was the third-leading money-winner in barrel racing, taking home $9,855. However, Delta's Tracee Young fared better on Saturday, placing fourth in the semifinal round with a time of 15.39 and third in the final round with a 15.03. Young won $3,942 to tie for fourth overall.
