RSL: Team adds former Rapids defender

Real Salt Lake announced they have acquired defender Nat Borchers in a special MLS Player Allocation Lottery.

The 26-year-old Borchers is currently rehabbing from an ankle injury, but is still expected to join RSL in Florida today as the squad kicks off hte second training camp of its 2008 preseason.

Borchers comes to RSL from the Norwegian team Odd Grenland, where he played the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

He has previous MLS experience, having started 82 games for the Colorado Rapids over a span of the 2003-05 seasons.

The University of Denver product has made two U.S. Men's National Team appearences, with his debut coming in a 2005 win over Colombia.
