Class 5A

Nick Emery, Lone Peak

You'd never know Emery is a freshman. Emery is averaging 20. 4 points per game and has helped Lone Peak navigate a tough Region 4 season. His lowest scoring output this season was 10 points. He had 16 on Jan. 29 in a key region win over Brighton and a season-high 31 against Alta on Jan. 8.

Alissa Willard, Roy

The Royals took a pair of close losses last week. They weren't wins but Willard did what she could to keep Roy close. She had 22 points against Layton and 13 against Fremont as Roy continues to struggle to make waves in a very difficult Region 1.

Class 4A

London Simonson, Salem Hills

Simonson has been key in helping Salem Hills make a playoff push. Last week Simonson scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished three assists to help Salem beat Uintah in a key Region 8 win. Simonson is averaging 17.5 points per game and 1.8 three-pointers a game.

Ashley Kuchar, Provo

Kuchar has been a key offensive force for the Bulldogs. She's averaging 20.2 points per game and 1.5 three-pointers for Provo. Last week Kuchar had 12 points in a narrow loss to Mountain View and 17 points in a victory over Lehi.

Class 3A

Mike Brown, Wasatch

The Wasatch Wasps are unbeaten in region play this year and Brown helped them stay on a roll last week. He had 22 points with three three-pointers in a win over Union and 17 points in a drubbing of rival Park City. Brown is averaging 16.4 points per game.

Kulia Wilson, Juan Diego

Wilson has had an up-and-down season in scoring. Last week was an up week as she scored 27 points in the Soaring Eagle's big win over Bear River. She had three threes in that win. Against Judge she had just eight points but added seven assists and four rebounds in a 40-32 Juan Diego win.
