Seven players from Weber State, including record-setting Trevyn Smith and unanimous pick Tim Toone, have been named to the All-Big Sky Conference first team.

Smith, a running back from Springville, is only the third player in the 47-year history of the Big Sky to earn first-team honors four straight times.

Smith needs 21 rushing yards in Weber State's first-round playoff game at William & Mary on Saturday to reach 1,000 yards for the fourth straight season.

Toone, a receiver and return specialist from Peoria, Ariz., caught a league-leading 77 passes for 1,058 yards and nine touchdowns.

A senior, Toone is a two-time All-Big Sky pick who returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdown this season, setting a new conference record.

Weber State's other first-team picks include center Kyle Mutcher of Park City, senior defensive end Kevin Linehan of Los Alamitos, Calif., junior linebacker Taylor Sedillo of Salt Lake City, senior cornerback Josh Morris of Ada, Okla., and senior punter Mike Snoy of Layton.

Mutcher, Linehan and Morris are Weber State's other two-time selections.

Eastern Washington quarterback Matt Nichols was named the Big Sky's Most Valuable Player on offense.

Montana State defensive end Dane Fletcher was selected as the defensive MVP.
