'They deserve to be here'

The Galaxy's Chris Klein said he was not surprised his former team reach the championship. "I know the amount of work they put in," he said. "They have the right parts on the field and ... they're headed in the right direction."

 

No such luck

Everybody talks about Landon Donovan and David Beckham, but RSL's Kyle Beckerman said the Galaxy are more than just two superstars. "I wish it was 11 vs. 2," Beckerman said. "That would be a nice matchup."

 

Local color

Goalkeeper Chris Seitz joined the Galaxy's Alan Gordon in participating in a promotional "fish toss" with vendors at the famous Pike Place Market on the Seattle waterfront. Seitz said he'd never done such a thing, but had been looking forward to it since checking out the market in advance.
