Ed Wesley's 64-yard run spoiled everything for Texas Christian late in the fourth quarter Saturday night.

Until then, Horned Frogs' offense was playing along with its established identity of having interchangeable, indistinguishable running backs. Wesley set himself apart with the run that led to TCU's final touchdown, while finishing with 137 yards in the Horned Frogs' 55-28 win over Utah.

Wesley still accounted for fewer than half of TCU's 342 rushing yards, with Matthew Tucker contributing 68 yards, Joseph Turner adding 62 and quarterback Andy Dalton posting 48.

The balance spread to the passing game, with the top four receivers recording between 35 and 51 yards.

The diversity and depth resulted in TCU's topping 300 rushing yards and 500 total yards for the third week in a row, having hammered UNLV and San Diego State.

Doing it against Utah's proud defense was another story, leaving Ute coach Kyle Whittingham to observe, "Their personnel is outstanding."

Whittingham added, "As a head coach for five years, that's probably the best team that we've faced."

TCU finished with 549 total yards and 32 first downs, converting seven of 13 third-down s.

And even while racking up 55 points, the Frogs twice failed to score after having a first down at the Ute 16-yard line or closer.

The Frogs improved to 10-0, matching Utah's record at this
