Utah middle blocker Emillie Toone has been named Mountain West Conference co-player of the week.
The 6-foot-7 senior led the Utes to a 2-0 record in conference play last week and to second place in the conference standings. In two matches, she averaged 2.71 kills, 2.14 blocks and 3.93 points per set. Against UNLV, Toone had eight kills for a 4.29 hitting percentage. She also had a match-high tying six blocks.
Utah beat San Diego State in four games behind Toone's 11 kills and nine blocks.
