Starting pitcher Darin Gorski allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings Saturday night, leading Las Vegas to a cruise-control 12-3 victory over Salt Lake. In front of 11,629 fans at Smith's Ballpark, the 51s' Eric Campbell went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Turning point • Salt Lake trailed, 2-1, when starter Nate Smith was pulled after the second inning. Over the next two innings — against three pitchers out the Bees' bullpen — Las Vegas scored nine runs on 10 hits and built an 11-1 lead.

Bees' MVP • Lefty Tyler DeLoach delivered 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed two hits and struck out three. He threw 47 pitches, including 29 strikes. DeLoach has not allowed an earned run in his last four appearances.

Hidden hero • Former Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum, who could probably be excused for not pitching again in Triple-A this season, is scheduled to start Sunday night's game against the 51s. Lincecum has been attempting a comeback from hip surgery.

Flashing leather • With two runners aboard and nobody out in the top of the third, Travis Taijeron hit a line drive toward right center. Salt Lake second baseman Sherman Johnson timed his jump perfectly, however, and made an outstanding catch.

Angel angle • Outfielder Shane Robinson has been sent to Salt Lake on an injury rehab assignment. The Angels placed him on the 15-day disabled list on Aug. 15 because of a strained right hip.

History lesson • On Sept. 3, 2012, the Bees tied a franchise record when Doug Deeds, Trevor Crowe, Jimmy Swift and Ed Lucas all tripled during a 16-9 win over Sacramento. Crowe and Long combined for five RBIs.

What's Next • Sunday: Las Vegas (Tyler Pill, 1-1) vs. Salt Lake (Tim Lincecum, 0-3), 7:05 p.m. —
