Albuquerque, N.M. • Rafael Ortega, Nick Buss and Anthony Bemboom each had three hits, as the Salt Lake Bees beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 11-6 on Wednesday.

Buss doubled twice and singled, also stealing a base.

Salt Lake took the lead in the first when it scored five runs, including a two-run home run by Sherman Johnson.

After Albuquerque scored three runs in the second, the Isotopes tied the game in the third inning when Jordan Patterson hit a solo home run and Alex Castellanos hit an RBI single.

The Bees took the lead for good in the fourth when Angel Rosa scored on a ground out.

Salt Lake starter Nate Smith (7-4) picked up the win despite allowing five runs and seven hits over six innings. Opposing starter Eddie Butler (4-2) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed nine runs and nine hits over five innings.

For the Isotopes, Ben Paulsen reached base three times.

Salt Lake improved to 9-1 against Albuquerque this season.
