Salt Lake 12, Iowa 7

Rafael Ortega had four hits, including two triples, and drove in two runs to lead the Salt Lake Bees to a 12-7 victory over the host Iowa Cubs on Monday.

Carlos Perez added three hits and three RBIs and Kaleb Cowart chipped in with three hits and two RBIs as the Bees pounded out 14 hits overall, five for extra bases.

Salt Lake took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. Sherman Johnson walked and scored on a double by Perez. Cowart and Ortega followed with back-to-back triples and Ryan Jackson added a run scoring ground out.
