Salt Lake Bees starting pitcher Nate Smith will be heading to this year's All-Star Futures Game in San Diego, which is slated to kick off All-Star Weekend on July 10.

Major League Baseball and MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League Clubs selected the rosters.

Smith, a 24-year-old Furman University product who made his Triple-A debut back in August 2015, holds a 5-2 record and 3.92 ERA this season. As a member of Team USA during the 2015 Pan American games, Smith won both his starts against Cuba and Canada.

He becomes the first Bee to be selected to the game since Hank Conger in 2010.
