Two-time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum had his best outing with the Bees, allowing one hit in seven innings, but it wasn't enough as the Fresno Grizzlies edged visiting Salt Lake, 1-0, on Sunday.

Lincecum struck out eight and walked one while throwing 57 of his 89 pitches for strikes. He did not allow a hit until the sixth inning.

Fresno starter Brady Rodgers (5-3) tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up just two hits, singles by Juan Graterol in the third and sixth.

Fresno's Nolan Fontana scored the only run of the game when Salt Lake reliever Jose Valdez (0-1) was called for a balk with Fontana at third.
