Sacramento's Jarrett Parker hit three home runs and finished with six RBIs on Sunday, leading the River Cats to a 16-6 victory over Salt Lake. In the final two games of the series at Smith's Ballpark, Bees' pitching allowed 30 runs and 42 hits.

Turning Point • Trailing 6-4 in the sixth, the River Cats parlayed seven hits, a walk and a two-out throwing error on Salt Lake shortstop Rey Navarro into nine runs. Parker had a three-run homer.

Bees MVP • Jett Bandy doubled home three runs in the first inning. In the third, he reached on an error and stole second base. It was Bandy's sixth steal in 417 professional games.

Hidden Hero • Sacramento starter Chris Stratton (3-2) struggled through the first, when the Bees scored five times with two outs. But he allowed only three hits and one run over the next five innings.

Flashing Leather • With two outs in the third inning, Navarro went deep into the hole and ran down Miguel Olivo's hard ground ball. He stopped, turned and fired a strike to first base to retire the side.

Quoteworthy • Salt Lake manager Keith Johnson: "… Our pitching is going to be fine. They've been throwing the ball well. We had a little bit of a rough home stand, but we'll get right back at it."

Angel Angle • The Angels have recalled reliever A.J. Achter and outfielder Shane Robinson. After going 1-4 with a 9.15 ERA in five starts this season, L.A. sent pitcher Matt Shoemaker to Salt Lake.

History lesson • On May 1, 1994, Tim McIntosh becomes the first player in franchise history to hit three home runs in one game during Salt Lake's 9-7 win at Albuquerque.

What's next • Monday: Salt Lake (Chris Jones, 1-1) at Tacoma (Adrian Sampson, 2-1), 7:05 p.m. MDT. TV: none, Radio: 1280-AM. —
