The Reno Aces earned a split of their four-game series with Salt Lake, as they downed the Bees 7-3 on Thursday night. Reno was hitless through three innings against Bees starter Daniel Wright, but two singles and a walk loaded the bases with no outs in the fourth. Back-to-back fielder's choices brought in two runs to give the Aces the lead. They would add three more runs in the fifth on a two-run double by Socrates Brito and a wild pitch. The Aces would cap off their scoring with two runs in the sixth. Wright (4-6) took the loss, as he worked four innings and allowed five runs on five hits with two walks and one strikeout.

Salt Lake broke through for two runs in the seventh, as Jefry Marte led off with a single and scored on a broken-bat double to left by Cesar Puello. Puello would later score on a bases-loaded walk issued to Nolan Fontana. They would add one more in the ninth on an RBI triple by Fontana. The Bees managed just six hits in the game, but Carlos Perez singled in the second inning to extend his hitting streak to 13 games, Marte's single stretched his streak to eight games, and Puello now has a seven game streak. Eric Young, Jr. went 0 for 5 to snap his 29-game streak of getting on base, which is the fifth longest such streak in the PCL this season.
