Substitute forward Chandler Hoffman came off the bench and scored twice in six minutes during the second half as the Real Monarchs beat OKC Energy 3-1 on Wednesday night at Rio Tinto Stadium to improve to 13-2-1 overall in the USL and remain first in the league.

The Monarchs are 8-0-0 at home this season. Hoffman's two goals gives him 10 on the season, a team record.

Real Monarchs took the lead in the eighth minute on a goal by Karsten Hanlin off a cross from Chase Minter before OKC Energy tied the game in the 26th minute on a rebound converted by Alex Dixon.

Hoffman's goals came in the 70th and 76th minutes. The first was off a cross by Kyle Curinga and the second was after Hoffman was dragged down in the penalty box by OKC's Coady Andrews, earning a penalty kick that Hoffman converted.
