Salt Lake starting pitcher Austin Robichaux tossed six scoreless innings to help the Bees to a 5-2 win over the host El Paso Chihuahuas in a Pacific Coast League game Friday night. Robichaux (1-0) allowed just two hits with three strikeouts and two walks in picking up his first Triple-A win in his third start.

Brooks Pounders walked the first two batters he faced in the ninth inning, but retired the next three batters to earn his third save.

The Bees took a 2-0 lead in the second on an RBI single by Ramon Flores and a successful squeeze bunt by Sherman Johnson. In the fourth, Carlos Perez led off with a double, was bunted to third by Michael Bourn and scored on a sacrifice fly by Flores. Kaleb Cowart added a two run double in the seventh inning. Cowart celebrated his 25th birthday with two hits and two runs batted in, while Flores added one hit and two RBI. The win marked the first three game winning streak the Bees have had over El Paso in the four year history of the Chihuahuas. The win, combined with Albuquerque's loss to Sacramento, gives Salt Lake a one and one-half game lead over the second place Isotopes in the Pacific Southern division.
