The Salt Lake Bees won their fourth walk-off game of the season thanks to a line-drive RBI double into the left-center field gap by former University of Utah standout C.J. Cron. Cron's rocket led the Bees (28-24) to a 2-1 win over the Tacoma Rainiers (30-20) in the third game of their four-game series at Smith's Ballpark on Monday night.
Bees starting pitcher Alex Klonowski struck out seven and allowed one run on seven hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings, while relievers Cody Ege and Damien Magnifico combined for 3 1/3 scoreless innings. Bo Way went 2 for 3 with a run scored, and Kaleb Cowart had one hit and one RBI. The Bees are in first place in the Pacific Coast League's Pacific Southern Division, one-half game ahead of the Albuquerque Isotopes.
