Josh Rose hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th inning to lift the Utah baseball team to a 7-6 victory over BYU on Tuesday night in Provo.

Utah's Alex Isola scored the winning run after hitting a one-out single and advancing to third on Dominic Foscalina's double.

Chandler Anderson went 3 for 5 and hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning for the Utes (21-21).

BYU pitcher Kendall Motes got tagged with the loss, giving up one run on two hits over 22/3 innings. Keaton Kringlen went 3 for 6 with two RBIs for the Cougars (29-15), and Brennon Anderson and Brock Hale each hit a home run.

Utah reliever Tanner Thomas (2-0) worked 51/3 scoreless innings to earn the win, and Riley Ottesen pitched a perfect 13th inning to earn the save.
