Oakland, Calif. • The Splash Brothers weren't splashing. Draymond Green wasn't money either. Andre Iguodala, the Warriors sixth man, was their 0-for-6 man.

All in all, it was a bad night beyond the arc for one of the NBA's top 3-point shooting teams.

And the Warriors still managed an easy double-digit win over the Utah Jazz in the first game of the team's semifinal matchup.

"I think we found ways to move the ball and get good shots whether it was pin-down twos or swing-swings and driving to the basket," guard Stephen Curry said. "We're happy."

The Warriors hit on seven of their 29 attempts from beyond the 3-point line. But thanks to some brilliant ball movement and a relentless assault of cuts to the basket, Golden State gashed the Jazz's defense.

"We created good shots just by moving the ball and setting good screens for each other," Curry said. "Got up 29 threes and hopefully we'll make a few more next game.

"The ones that we did create, and the shots that we didn't finish, all were promoted by our ball movement, and that's what we preach all year. Against this team especially, they're great defensively, so you can't get bogged down on one end of the court."

Check the tape

Curry may be better known for ankle-breaking crossovers, but he's also been known to have some ankle issues of his own. So when the All-Star point guard was spotted on the bench Tuesday, with a shoe off and Golden State's lead trainer attending to him, there was some concern among Warriors fans.

No need, he says.

"No, just routine maintenance I get done, whether it's in the back or on the bench or in between quarters or whenever it happens," Curry said. "It's nothing to worry about."

Play on

Jazz center Rudy Gobert picked up a flagrant foul when he put Green into the first row of seats with a shove during Game 1.

"I really didn't need to sell it," Green said later. "He pushed me pretty good. But, I mean, life goes on. I don't know if it's frustration or what it is. It really doesn't matter to me though. I actually try to get the refs to just play on and let's just go."
