MLS » Own goal lifts New York over Colorado, 1-0.

Harrison, N.J. • Luis Robles had a shutout in his MLS record-setting 143rd consecutive start and an own goal was the only score in the New York Red Bulls' 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.

A cross deflected off Colorado's Eric Miller past goalkeeper Tim Howard shortly before the end of the first half for the own goal. Howard, who made seven saves, returned to action for the first time since the U.S. goaltender had surgery after a groin injury suffered in a World Cup qualifying loss to Mexico on Nov. 11.

Robles broke a tie with midfielder Chris Klein (2005-09) for the most consecutive starts.

Toronto FC 2, Union 2 • C.J. Sapong tied it for host Philadelphia in the 73rd minute — two minutes after Toronto took the lead.

Sounders 2, Impact 2 • Nicolas Lodeiro and Will Bruin scored in the final 10 minutes of play to give defending champions Seattle the tie with host Montreal.

Dynamo 3, Crew 1 • In Houston, Romell Quioto scored 67 seconds into the match after intercepting a poor clearance by Columbus goalie Zack Steffen, and Houston beat the Crew.

Dallas 0, Sporting Kansas City 0 • Tim Melia made five saves as host Kansas City topped Dallas.

Earthquakes 3, Whitecaps 2 • Aníbal Godoy scored in the 79th minute, capping host San Jose's comeback from a two-goal deficit in a win over Vancouver.
