The linebacker and defensive line groups went through drills at the NFL Combine Sunday, highlighted locally by BYU's Harvey Langi and Utah's Pita Taumoepenu.

Langi participated in on-field drills, the bench press, the vertical jump and the broad jump. The former BYU defender benched 225 pounds 23 times, finished tied for 21st among the defensive linemen in the vertical jump with a 33-inch effort and had the 29th-best broad jump at 118 inches. He did not participate in the 40-yard dash, but finished sixth best in the three-cone drill with a time of 7 seconds.

Taumoepenu was among the best defensive linemen in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.67 seconds, tying for eighth in the group, and in the three cone drill, finishing it in the second fastest time of 6.91 seconds. He produced a 112-inch broad jump and a 28.5-inch vertical jump to go along with 24 bench press repetitions.

Langi and Taumoepenu both starred in the 20-yard shuttle, posting the fifth and sixth best times in the group respectively, 4.32 and 4.33 seconds.

Langi also participated in the 60-yard shuttle for a fourth best time of 11.83 seconds.

Former Utah defensive tackle and USC prospect Stevie Tu'iklolavatu was also among the defensive line participants, finishing seventh in the bench press with 28 repetitions. He struggled with the rest of the workout, however, with the slowest 40-yard dash (5.45 seconds), the second shortest vertical jump (24.5 inches), the shortest broad jump (91 inches), the third slowest three cone drill (7.83 seconds) and the slowest 20-yard shuttle (5 seconds).
