A look at standout performers and key numbers from Friday's semifinal round of the Class 2A boys' and girls' basketball state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center.

Christians Guitierrez

The exchange student from Venezuela scored 13 points and hauled down 10 rebounds to lead Layton Christian into the Class 2A boys' state title game.

Peyton Torgerson

The 5-foot-11 senior point guard who has committed to Southern Utah led North Sevier into the Class 2A girls' title game by scoring 19 points, hauling down 11 rebounds, grabbing four steals and dishing out five assists.

Megan Jensen

The Emery sophomore scored 10 points, gathered in seven rebounds, blocked four shots and dished out three assists.

Alexander Priskos

The Waterford senior finished with 22 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals to lead his team's come-from-behind semifinal win over North Summit.

Emery's free-throw percentage in its girls' semifinal win. The Spartans went 3 of 13 in the second half, but they managed to win on two free throws by Megan Jensen in the final minute.

The number of consecutive points scored by Layton Christian late in the first and early in the second guarters to give the Eagles a lead they did not relinquish to earn a chance at their first 2A boys' basketball title and third overall hoops crown. The other two were in 1A.

The North Sevier girls broke open a close game in the second quarter when it went on a 23-5 run. Kanab got as close as seven after that.
