A look at standout performers and key numbers from Wednesday's quarterfinal round of the Class 5A girls' basketball state tournament at Salt Lake Community College.

Breaunna Gillen

The Copper Hills sophomore scored 11 points to help the Grizzlies outlast Lone Peak. She kicked off a stretch of 10-for-10 free-throw shooting as the Grizzlies extended a two-point lead in the last minute to move on to the semifinals.

Taylor Franson

The American Fork senior set the tone on both ends of the floor, finishing with nine points and eight rebounds, including four offensive. She added two assists, three blocks and two steals in the Cavemen victory over Fremont.

Megan Carr

The 6-foot-2 Viewmont senior center had 15 points, grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and her presence in the low post caused Bingham to enter the paint with caution all evening in the Vikings' 54-37 victory.

The number of 3-pointers American Fork and Fremont were able to convert in 26 combined tries. The teams collectively started 0 for 22 from beyond the arc before Paige Farnsworth knocked down the lone triple for the Cavemen.

Number of times Copper Hills will have faced American Fork in the Class 5A playoffs since 2014. Friday's 4:10 p.m. semifinal will be the third. The Cavemen posted a 61-51 win in the quarterfinals in 2014 and a 49-38 win in the 2015 opening round.
