A look at three standout performers and three key numbers from Thursday's Day 2 of the Class 5A state wrestling meet at Utah Valley University.

Shion Abe

In perhaps the most dramatic match of the evening, the Viewmont junior overcame a late deficit in the third round against Pleasant Grove's Derek Fisher then held off a late surge to secure the 7-6 victory. Pleasant Grove contested Fisher should have been awarded a point in the final seconds, but their plea was denied after the officials convened momentarily and Abe's hand was raised as the champion in the 132-pound division.

Roy Bingham

En route to the individual title at 160, the Mountain Crest senior was perfect in every round. He started with a pin in 58 seconds in the first round, then a pin in 3:35 in the second, another pin in 3:22 in the semifinals and finally a pin at the 5:38 mark in the championship round against Bingham's Mason Christiansen.

Austin Clem

The Layton senior tied the championship match against American Fork's Jacob Rhoton late in the third round and picked up the match-winning point in the final seconds to earn the title at 182 with a 4-3 victory.

Fremont's Brayden Clark defeated Mountain Crest's Braydon Mogle by a total score of 8-4 to earn the individual championship at 106.

Riverton's Dylan Gregerson won the individual title in the 138-pound division with only one pin in four rounds, which occurred in the second round. He won by a collectively score of 35-14 in the other three rounds.

Although Brandon Closson wasn't able to win his fourth straight team championship with Pleasant Grove to cap his career, he did earn the individual championship at 220.
