Sky View seniors Peyton and Bracken Falslev combined for 39 points to lead their team to a 71-59 victory against Roy on Friday night, improving the Bobcats to 12-2 overall and remaining unbeaten in Region 1 at 4-0 ahead of big games next week at both Weber and Mountain Crest

After shooting 2 of 8 in the first half, Peyton Falslev exploded in the third quarter with four 3-pointers on five attempts as he finished with 17 points to lead all scorers. Bracken Falslev scored eight points in the fourth quarter and finished with 12 overall and seven rebounds.

"I didn't have the best first half," Peyton said. "The second half I knew I had to have that shooter's mentality with the belief that that next shot is going to go in. I just took what the [defense] was giving me."

Peyton wasn't the only one anxious to score as the Bobcats struggled to finish in the opening quarters. A team that has averaged nearly 67 points per game this season was held to 31 points on 42 percent shooting and turned the ball over six times to a Roy team that nabbed its first region win earlier this week.

"I started getting the ball underneath and I had a mismatch that I used to my advantage," Bracken added. "We started kicking it outside and got a bunch of threes so they eventually couldn't really guard inside or out. We were on a roll."

Sky View finished with 10 3-pointers overall on 18 attempts.

"It's awesome playing with these guys when we're hitting shots like that," Bracken said. "We play good together and when we're hitting like that it's even better. Usually we feed off of each other, so when one guy is hitting shots the rest of us usually follow."

The usually consistent scoring of Roy's top scorers in Alex Holley and Alex Lamb faltered, as the two finished with a combined 21 points on 9-of-24 shooting.
