Corvalles, Ore. • Sydney Wiese scored 17 points and Marie Gulich had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 11 Oregon State over Utah 70-44 on Friday night.

Wiese extended her Pac-12 career record for 3-pointers, making 5 of 7 for 323. Gulich posted her fourth double-double this season.

Oregon State finished the first quarter with a 6-0 run to take an 18-14 lead then outscored Utah 21-8 in the second period, scoring the final 11 points, including two Wiese 3-pointers, for a 39-22 edge after Utah missed its final seven shots of the half.

Utah missed its first five shots in the third quarter and Oregon extended its lead to 58-32 by the period's end.

Utah's Emily Potter scored 12 points. Wendy Anae added 11.

The Beavers (17-2, 6-1 Pac-12) have won the last seven meetings with the Utes (13-5, 2-5), not losing at home to Utah since the 2000-01 season.

Men's Volleyball

BYU 3, Cal-Northridge 1 • At Northridge, Calif., the third-ranked Cougars beat the No. 14 Matadors in four sets, 26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 26-24.

Libero Mitchel Worthingont had a career-high 14 digs for BYU (6-1, 2-0 MPSF). Ben Patch had a team-high 24 kills, and Leo Durkin finished with 47 assists. ​

Gymnastics

Utah State 195.3, BYU 195.2 • At Provo, Cougar freshman Shannon Hortman won the all-around with a 38.425 score, but the Aggies' team depth was able to prevail in a close meet as Utah State scored at least a 48.725 in each rotation to win in Provo for the fourth time in a row.

Southern Utah 196.150, Stanford 194.150 • At Cedar City, the Flippin' Birds scored their highest total in an opening meet in program history. Danielle Ramirez led Southern Utah with an all-around score of 39.200 to beat the Cardinal in her season debut.

Men's Basketball

Westminster 66, South Dakota Mines 53 • Three Griffins scored in double figures in the team's third consecutive victory, led by Marcus Bryce and Zerrion Payton with 12 points. Tanner Newbold added 10 points off the bench for Westminster (8-6, 8-4 RMAC).

Women's Basketball

Westminster 56, South Dakota Mines 53 • Aubrie Vale scored 11 of the Griffins' 16 points in the fourth quarter to snap a four-game losing streak. Westminster is 7-9 overall and 5-7 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Men's Tennis

Washington 6, Utah State 1 • At Seattle, Samuel Serrano was the lone winner for the Aggies in their season opener.
