Madison Grange hit a buzzer-beater from half court as Skyline took an early lead and never looked back, beating Judge Memorial 57-41 on Tuesday night in a Region 6 girls' basketball game.

Grange's long-distance shot gave the Eagles a 17-10 lead. Skyline maintained the lead throughout the second quarter and into the third, when Judge went on a run to cut the margin back down to seven. But Skyline then increased its lead into double digits again and never looked back.

"We didn't come out with the energy that we needed and intensity," Skyline coach Lynette Schroeder said. "We also didn't come out with the same pressure defense that we had to start the game. We just didn't have the energy that was necessary to keep a good team like Judge from scoring and getting back in the game, but I am very proud of the way the girls handled themselves and couldn't have asked for anything more from them."

Skyline improved to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in region play. Judge is 9-4 overall and 6-2 in region play.

"We need to stay focused on the task at hand," Schroeder. said. "We need to have the energy and intensity that we have had throughout the season so far and just continue to battle and play together as a team."
