San Diego • The Utah State women's soccer team opens the 2017 Mountain West Conference postseason tournament on Tuesday afternoon as the No. 4 seed.

The Aggies, who finished 11-8 overall and 7-4 in league play during the regular season, play fifth-seeded Wyoming in their opener.

Utah State ended the regular season tied for third place in the Mountain West standings, Based on the head-to-head tiebreaker, however, San Diego State received the No. 3 seed. The Aztecs open against No. 6 Boise State.

The top two seeds, No. 1 UNLV and No. 2 San Jose State, receive first-round byes. The Rebels will play the winner of the Utah State-Wyoming match in the semifinals. The Spartans will play the San Diego State-Boise State survivor.

Utah State defeated Wyoming, 3-0, in Logan on Sept. 25.

The Aggies are led by senior forward Jessica Brooksby, who ranks second on the school's all-time list for assists (16) and fifth for goals (27).

Brooksby is a two-time all-Mountain West selection. She was joined on the first team this season by sophomore defender Kelsey Andersen.
