West Sacramento, Calif. • Travis Ishikawa homered and had two hits, and Chris Stratton allowed just four hits over six innings as the Sacramento River Cats beat the Salt Lake Bees 6-2 on Tuesday.

Stratton (8-5) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked two while allowing one run.

Sacramento started the scoring in the second inning when Austin Slater hit a two-run home run.

After Sacramento added a run in the third on a home run by Ishikawa, the Bees cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Kaleb Cowart hit an RBI single, scoring Quintin Berry.

The River Cats later tacked on three runs in the sixth when Myles Schroder hit a sacrifice fly and Gorkys Hernandez hit a two-run single to secure the victory.

Nate Smith (7-5) went 5 1/3 innings, allowing six runs and nine hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out four and walked three.

Despite the loss, Salt Lake is 11-5 against Sacramento this season.
