The Salt Lake Bees dropped their series-opener against the Albuquerque Isotopes, 8-4.

Stephen Cardullo drove in Joey Wong and Ben Paulsen hit a two-RBI triple in the seventh inning to increase the Isotopes' lead to 8-1.

The Bees responded in the eighth inning with three RBI doubles, from Cliff Pennington, Kaleb Cowart and Rafael Ortega to cut the deficit to 8-4.
