The host Las Vegas 51s provided fireworks both during and after the game on Monday night, as they downed the Salt Lake Bees 17-6. Las Vegas already had a 6-1 lead when they poured it on with eleven runs in the sixth inning. Former Washington National Roger Bernadina had two triples with five runs batted in, while T.J. Rivera belted a grand slam in the inning. The 11 runs were the most ever allowed by the Salt Lake franchise in the sixth inning and the bases loaded blast was the team record sixth allowed this season by the Bees' pitching staff.

Salt Lake starter Kyle McGowin (4-5) took the loss, as he went five innings and allowed six runs on nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Nick Buss led the Bees with three hits, including his league leading eighth triple, and three runs batted in, while Ryan Jackson added two hits and one RBI. Quintin Berry also had two hits, as the Bees drop to 1-4 versus Las Vegas this season.
