Auburn Hills, Mich. • The Detroit Pistons have traded guard Jodie Meeks to the Orlando Magic for a 2019 conditional second-round draft pick.

The 28-year-old Meeks played in only three games in 2015-16 after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in the second game of the season. Since signing with the Pistons as a free agent in 2014, he's played 63 games, averaging 10.9 points.

Meeks has also played for Milwaukee, Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Lakers after an impressive college career at Kentucky. He's shot 37 percent from 3-point range over seven NBA seasons.

Meeks averaged a career-high 15.7 points in 2013-14 with the Lakers, when he started 70 games.
