Ben Simmons made his return after sitting out with calf cramps as the Huntsman Center hosted the third and final Utah Jazz Summer League game on Thursday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers pulled away 86-75, leaving Salt Lake City with its only win.

Utah dropped its third straight.

On the eve of the Las Vegas Summer League, which will take place from July 8-18, the fans got one final look at the No. 1 overall pick.

He didn't disappoint.

Simmons, who posted six points, six assists and seven rebounds in his second game, "got more comfortable," according to 76ers coach Brett Brown. Despite shooting a dismal 2-for-8 from the floor, Simmons remained confident and found other ways to make an impact.

"He wants to make all of them, but when you know you can impact the game in different areas, your attitude is at a different level," Brown said. "He doesn't play like it's about Ben."

Against Jazz forward Trey Lyles, who posted a game-high 22 points and eight rebounds, the 19-year-old prospect out of Louisiana State played as he did in his debut, showing off highlight-worthy passes and contributing without scoring the basketball.

"I let the game come to me," Simmons said.

The only thing on Simmons' mind Thursday night was to leave Salt Lake City with a win.

"That was mentality coming into this game: just win."

The 76ers, however, won this game in large part because of their lengthy, athletic big men: Christian Wood and Richuan Holmes, who both finished with 17 points. Wood, who made a strong case for being the best performer of the week, shot 6-of-11 from the floor, while Holmes pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

"Development, improvement, confidence, aggressiveness … he took the games more serious than he has in the past," Brown said about the UNLV product. "He was willing to be pushed and coached. Christian is very, very talented. He'll be as good as his concentration will allow him to be."

Heading into Vegas, Simmons plans to get in more reps and continue his progress toward the start of the regular season. With NBA executives closely watching his every move, Simmons will have another opportunity to dazzle.
