Layton's Jakoby Kemp is headed to the Southeastern Conference after he announced his pledge to the University of Missouri on Tuesday.

Kemp is a graduate of the Class of 2016. At 6-foot-8, the forward was an integral part of the Lancers' run to the Class 5A state championship in 2014-15 and to the semifinals this past year.

Kemp averaged 13.7 points and 5.4 rebounds as a senior, and his older brother, Marcus, plays football at the University of Hawaii.
