June is Great Outdoors Month in Utah, and residents on Friday took part in free activities at Outdoor Adventure Days, which continue through Saturday.

Attendees of all ages could trawl for catfish, shoot a bow and arrow, take spins around an ATV course and give kayaking or paddleboarding a try. Instructors were available to teach firearm basics. Those looking to preserve their energy for the adventures could hitch a ride in a horse-pulled covered wagon from Hardware Ranch.

Activities continue Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range, 6000 W. 2100 South in Salt Lake City. June 11 is free fishing day, so attendees do not need a license to participate in fishing activities.
