Utah and Butler have agreed to a home-and-home basketball series for the upcoming season and the 2017-18 season, the two schools announced Thursday.

The Bulldogs will visit the Huntsman Center on Nov. 28, with the Utes traveling to Indianapolis and historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in 2017.

"This is a very exciting home and home series," Butler coach Chris Holtmann said in a statement. "Utah is a marquee program and a strong addition to our non-conference schedule for the next two seasons. The game in Salt Lake City will be a great test for our basketball team as we prepare for Big East play, and we're excited to bring the Utes to Hinkle the following season."

Butler and Utah have met twice previously. Butler defeated the Utes, 74-62, in the opening round of the 2010 Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii. Utah won a 1964 meeting in Salt Lake City, 95-66. Butler and Utah were both participants in the 2015 Puerto Rico Tip-Off, but did not meet as the bracket unfolded.

Utah Jazz players Gordon Hayward and Shelvin Mack are both Butler alumns.
