Logan • Utah State junior Jalen Moore has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return to school next season, he said Thursday.

Moore entered the draft but did not hire an agent. As a result, he was allowed to work out for NBA teams but not lose any college eligibility, if he pulled out by May 25.

The draft is June 23.

Moore auditioned for three teams — Utah, Minnesota and Memphis.

Boston, Brooklyn, Houston, Chicago and San Antonio also showed interest in him, according to Utah State head coach Tim Duryea. But a tight schedule and a minor back injury prevented Moore from working out for those teams.

"It was a great experience," Moore said. "… It helped me get my game out there and I think I played well. I got good feedback from NBA scouts and NBA coaches. It helped them notice me for next year."

Moore is a 6-foot-9 forward from North Logan who led the Aggies in scoring and rebounding the past two seasons. He averaged 15.2 points and six rebounds last season, when he was named to the All-Mountain West Conference third team.
