Jefry Marte went 3-for-4 with three RBIs on Tuesday night, leading Salt Lake to a 5-3 victory over Albuquerque at Smith's Ballpark. The Bees pounded out 12 hits and won their fourth straight game.

Turning Point • Trailing 3-2 with two out in the seventh, Salt Lake's Nick Buss and Kaleb Cowart singled. Marte followed by lining a 2-2 pitch into the left field corner, giving the Bees the lead.

Bees MVP • Marte has gone 5-for-7 with two homers and six RBIs in the last two games. "I just try to look for good pitches and stop swinging so much at bad pitches," he said.

Hidden Hero • With one out in the eighth and the tying run on third, Salt Lake reliever Ramon Ramirez struck out Brandon Barnes and retired Rafael Ynoa on a ground ball to preserve a 4-3 lead.

Flashing Leather • In the top of the second inning, Barnes sent a long drive to right center. One step before hitting the wall, however, Buss made a running catch.

Quoteworthy • For a change, the Bees played on a relatively warm and rainless night. Said Marte, "For me — all Latin players — we live in the hot weather so it's a bit tough when the weather is cold."

Angel Angle • Salt Lake infielder Rey Navarro was scratched from Monday's lineup and appeared on his way to L.A. But the Angels acquired shortstop Brendan Ryan from Washington, so Navarro remains with the Bees.

History lesson • On May 10, 2003, Tom Gregoroi doubled home one run and Tom Quinlan doubled home two more in the top of the 11th to lead Salt Lake to a 7-4 win at Sacramento.

What's next • Wednesday: Albuquerque (Jeff Hoffman, 2-1) vs. Salt Lake (Kyle McGowin, 0-1), 10:35 a.m. —
