The Atlanta Falcons signed former Weber State cornerback Devonte Johnson to a free agent contract Monday.

Johnson started 11 games for the Wildcats as a senior in a Second Team All-Big Sky campaign — recording 11 pass break ups, 40 tackles and two tackles for loss. He started six games as a redshirt freshman in 2012, recording 36 tackles and three pass breakups, but didn't play see game action in his sophomore or junior seasons.

He joins former Utah defensive end Derrick Shelby, former Utah State tight end D.J. Tialavea and former BYU wide receiver Jordan Leslie in Atlanta.
