The Detroit Lions drafted hard-hitting Southern Utah safety Miles Killebrew Sunday with the 111th pick in the NFL draft.

Killebrew racked up 132 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and seven pass break-ups as a senior to help SUU secure its first-ever Big Sky Conference title.

NFL.com classifies Killebrew as a "world-class form tackler with bad intentions behind his strikes," while CBS Sports describes him as a "physical run defender and downhill thumper, looking to tune up his target."

Both CBS Sports and NFL.com compare Killebrew to Arizona Cardinals linebacker/safety Deonne Bucannon, with the ability to play both safety and linebacker in the NFL.

He joins former BYU players Ziggy Ansah and Kyle Van Noy and former Utah State cornerback Nevin Lawson on the Lions' roster.
